Frequently Asked Questions

Ideally, you should get your shingled asphalt roof treated after about 6-10 years. If you treat your roof in this time span, you can add about 15 years extra to its life. We can still usually treat shingles that are 15-20 years but waiting this long can result in only adding an extra 5 years to their useful life.

Typically shingles that are ten years old start to show signs of aging, granular loss and could use rejuvenation before they start to curl up and become brittle.

A couple ways you can tell if your roof is drying out is if there are granules in the gutters, cracks throughout the shingles, broken corners on the shingles, black algae stains, if you find pieces of the shingles in your gutters or yard. Another easy way to tell is if your roof is older than 8-10 years.

In order to be successful, your roof cannot be rained on for the first hour after treatment.  After the first hour the rejuvenation spray is no longer water soluble and rain will not wash it away.

Roofs that are old and dry are usually very faded. Our rejuvenation spray will bring out the original color of your roof.

The warmer parts of the year are the most ideal times to treat your roof, however late spring and early fall are also good times of the year.  Our rejuvenation spray can be applied to your roof as soon as an hour or so after a rain.  Our team members will ensure that your roof is ready for rejuvenation to ensure you get the most value out of our unique rejuvenation product.
